The textures and stylings of old, painted wall advertisements often capture my attention and imagination, and I am inspired to photograph them. The brick, the decaying wood, the peeling layers of paint, the fonts, and the references to history. They are ephemera and will be gone some day, like everything. This is a detail of a Sunkist advertisement painted on the side of a building in Madison, Wisconsin.
