Studies - About
Studies are an accessible way to start collecting or to enhance existing collections. Easy to store or frame and display. My studies may be excerpts from larger compositions or experiments or ideas that may or may not find their way to a limited edition.
These quality prints are signed in pencil lower right and say "Study" lower left. The year might be added, as might a working title. They are open edition, not limited, and they may be edited or retired (unpublished from the store) at the artist's discretion. They are materially the same gallery quality as my other work -- printed with archival pigment inks on acid free cotton papers. Studies are packaged in a clear sleeve with acid free backing board. They are not matted.
The archival paper size is 8.5 x 11 inches. Square images measure about 6 x 6 inches. Rectangular images are about 6 x 8 inches. Actual size varies depending on border style or image ratio, usually a standard 2:3, 3:4, or 4:5. The archival papers are matte with a natural tone base and no OBA's (optical brightening agents). Studies are printed and signed on demand.
Images published in the online gallery are representations of actual prints. Images presented via device monitors (transmitted light) always look different from printed images (reflected light).
