The textures and styles of vintage wall advertisements often capture my attention, and, to the annoyance of people I am with at the time, I am drawn to photograph them. The rough brick, the peeling layers of paint, the bold fonts, and the reference to history. This is a detail of a weathered advertisement painted on the side of a building in Madison, Wisconsin.
