Fraboni's - Park in Rear Lot

The textures and styles of vintage wall advertisements are ephemeral and capture my attention. The brick, the peeling layers of paint, the old fonts, the rust ... these are ties to history. 

"Fraboni's - Park in Rear Lot" is an image of old signage that was once on the side of an empty building in Madison, Wisconsin. The sign has since been removed from the building. When I see things that capture my attention now, I usually make an effort to photograph them without delay. More than once, I've gone back to places and found them completely changed, or, like this sign, vanished. The contrast between the green and red has good punch.
