I've always been drawn to aquatints, mezzotints, pointillism, etchings, and of course film grain like that from Kodak Tri-X negatives. This piece, like a lot of my work, has a grainy texture that is inspired by the aforementioned. I managed my own darkroom for many years and specialized in black and white printing. I enjoyed working with different processing methods and materials to push print tonality warmer or cooler (and Kodak Brown Toner really stinks bad!). Choose tonality: Cool "cyanotype", sepia, or neutral.
