Chelsea in Pastel

This beautiful composition originates in natural light photography - diffused light through windows. I repainted the original photograph in pastels (digitally) and printed on cotton rag paper. As in pastel works, this composition leans impressionistic and has soft, blended edges. There is also subtle grain texture that is reminiscent of film, pointillism, aquatint, and mezzotint technique.
