I lived and worked in North Carolina for a couple years, and on the Outer Banks for more than one of them. OBX. It was a good life, a tough life. A beach life. Oysters and crabs. Hot.
Up and down the sandy schoals are little shops to fill the void, like this shop serving, among other delicacies, sandwiches. Back in the day, signs like these were hand painted on wood or tin, the original brush strokes expressed in each letter, by the sign maker. By the looks of it, this sign may have been shot by a BB gun or 410.
