A large picture window in the piano room faced south. In preparation for painting, we had removed the wall paper, and I really liked the remaining distressed texture and amber color.
I made a tiny shelf on which to set the Victorian pitcher filled with her spring Tulips. A precarious balance it was. The old pitcher with the spalted black on white glaze came from my grandparents home in southern Wisconsin. I think I had a Canon camera at the time, one of my first digital cameras as I transitioned from film. The image quality was astonishing to me.
