We traditionally take a walk in the woods on New Year's Day. On this occasion, it was late in the day. Night comes without delay in January, and we had finally decided to get dressed for the day. On the walk, this tree's silhouette against the darkening sky captured my attention and imagination. Maybe a bit of Poe or Frost or Chopin came to mind. Captured in RAW with my trusty little pocket Ricoh GRIIIx.
