Shop windows on State Street were broken, and stores soon closed their doors and boarded up their facades with sheets of plywood and waferboard. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePaul's Books, a local landmark for decades, was one of them. Rather than leave the boards empty and plain, someone at the shop decided a floral landscape with a Toni Morrison quote might lift the mood, and it did brighten mine and capture my attention. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI edited this shot to remove screw holes and seams between boards. Looking  back now, I could have left them. Maybe someday I will revisit the shots I took that morning.
