In this case, they had very nice continuous lighting, but not crisp strobes which I prefer. There are many details to check and not much time to test when paying by the hour. Regardless, she is a talented model and we got many good shots. It's not just the pose, it's the light. Before this photo session, I made a trip to Joanne Fabrics to try to find cloth for a backdrop. Even better if it's on sale. We used the quasi-velvet fabric in this shot in different situations - taping it on the wall as a backdrop and, as in this shot, throwing it on the floor. I paid attention to the random folds in the fabric; I wanted to avoid any totally flat sections. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHer hair was luscious that day and I made sure to keep some detail in the curls. Natural window light. I climbed the ladder and she gave me a good tip on tilting the viewing screen.
